I was looking through my notes and noticed that I first launched the business in 2007 with a line of letterpress cards. The official launch was in 2010. The brand had modest success in gift shops in Seattle and even Canada BUT we had to close in 2011.
There were attempts to bring Salutations back in 2017 (when I was working for Seattle Magazine as an Arts Editor). That's where the Surviving Seattle line was born. Although the sketches were rejected by the team, I never gave up on the idea of a Salutations rebirth.
During COVID, I got serious about restarting again with the creation of two new lines, Animal and Womyn's BDay.
Other lines followed, and with the creation of a robust business plan courtesy of Ventures, we're back in business!!!
